BOXCAR
WHAT / WHERE / WHEN
Please join us on Friday, November 14th from 5pm - 7pm
as we welcome our guests to town.
Boxcar Bar & Arcade is located in Downtown Durham at:
621 Foster Street, Durham, NC 27701
We have reserved the Event Space (just inside the main entrance to the left) which comes equipped with a private bar, multiple digital displays, and a variety of seating options. We will have appetizers, salads, and pizzas (with options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-sensitive guests) available.
Adjacent to our space is a large arcade and bar (also open to the public) as well as an outdoor patio space. We will provide game tokens for folks who wish to explore all of the fun Boxcar has to offer!
Please note the following venue policies:
- Any guests under 21 years old must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times while in the main bar / arcade area. Underage guests will need to leave the building by 8pm, per liquor license policy.
- All adults over 21 must have a valid US license or state ID (even if they don't plan on drinking). Adults 21 and older will not be able to come into Boxcar without an ID (including the event space).
- Any international guests will need to bring their passport to enter Boxcar.
- If you are bringing gifts for this event, please note the gifts cannot contain ANY type of beverages (wine, liquor, soda, etc.) Even if wrapped / sealed. If anybody brings a beverage in, they will be asked to immediately take it outside or to a car.
Casual attire is encouraged.
GETTING THERE
Each of the hotels we have set up blocks for (Unscripted, Aloft, Hampton Inn)
are within close proximity to Boxcar.
Unscripted is approximately 10 minutes walking distance (0.5 miles)
The Aloft Hotel is approximately 17 minutes walking distance (0.8 miles)
The Hampton Inn at I-85 is approximately 6 minutes driving distance (1.5 miles)
We encourage those who are able, to walk or to take a quick rideshare since parking can be tricky downtown on a Friday evening. Guests who opt to drive are encouraged to use street parking or one of the nearby parking garages, including:
